(Dec. 27, 2025-Jan. 16, 2026)

Aix en Provence

Say good-bye to the polar vortex and spend three weeks in sunny Southern France.
Immerse yourself fully in the French language, culture and history.
Experience one of France’s most beautiful cities, located in the heart of Provence.

Have you always wanted to learn French but never found the time?
Have you just begun studying French and want to progress faster?
Did you take French in high school and feel the need to refresh it?
Are you contemplating becoming a French major or minor?
Do you see yourself in a career that requires the knowledge of a second language?

Winter in Paris group photo

If so, this program is perfect for you!

Created in collaboration with IAU College, Aix-en-Provence’s oldest study abroad institution, the program takes place during winter break and consists of a three-credit language course designed to maximize immersion in French life, and an array of excursions and activities.

Every morning, our small class will meet in a beautifully renovated mansion located in the heart of the historic district. Afternoons will be devoted to discovering French culture through guided visits of museums and landmarks, both in Aix-en-Provence and its neighbor Marseille, France’s second largest city and 2013 European Capital of Culture. We will make sure, however, that you are left with plenty of time to experience provençal life in a town filled with coffee shops, artisan bakeries, and spectacular farmers markets!
