The French Graduate Student Organization at Rutgers University is thrilled to announce its 2021 interdisciplinary conference “Ex·centri·cités: Marge et centre en relation”. It will gather researchers and activists to critically examine the notion of ‘center’ and ‘margin’ in the scope of French language continua, texts and contexts.
This virtual event will be divided in two parts:

With Dr. Mame-Fatou Niang, Associate Professor of French and Francophone Literature at Carnegie Mellon University
Fania Noël, doctoral candidate in Sociology at the New School for Social Research, Afrofeminist activist, founder of the journal “AssiégéEs”
Théophile Coppet, independent historian of black social movements in France, 20c.
The panel will be in French.

L’association des étudiant·e·s gradué·e·s de Rutgers University est ravie d’annoncer sa conférence interdisciplinaire “Ex·centri·cités: Marge et centre en relation”. Elle rassemblera des chercheur·euses et activistes pour examiner les notions de centre et de marge, à travers les textes et contextes de langue française.
